How is Candida Albicans diagnosed?

If you want to know if you currently have a Candida concern or a yeast infection, you can try a saliva candida-test at home. Here’s how it is done.

First thing in the morning, fill a clear glass with water and then work up some saliva and spit into the cup. Make sure that you do this first thing in the morning before you begin doing anything else.

The saliva test is a very important test so you are going to need to make sure that you check the water every fifteen minutes that passes for a period of an hour. So, that means that you will have to check the water four times in an hour.

So, what are you looking for in that Candida Test?

Saliva or spit is a really clear liquid that is secreted into your mouth by the mucous glands and the salivary glands of the mouth. The saliva will moisten the mouth and then start the digestion of starches that are present. One thing that you should know is that yeast loves sugars and starches. Most of the time, saliva is completely healthy but there are times that a yeast infection attacks the human body and as a result, even the saliva has traces of yeast.

When you look at the cup with your saliva and water in it, you are looking for signs that reflect that you have a yeast infection. So, how do you know if a problem is present with a candida yeast infection?

You will use the spit test as a guideline. At the time that you spit into the clean glass of water, you need to make sure that you look into the glass. In the event that you see strings traveling downward from your saliva, speckles suspended in the water, the water begins to turn cloudy and the saliva sinks to the bottom of the cup, you may have a concern with a yeast infection.

Remember that it is very important that you check the water every fifteen minutes that passes by for a period of an hour. After you have completed the test, hopefully you will see that you are one of the lucky ones and that you are yeast infection free. You can tell that you are yeast infection free by seeing that there are no strings and the saliva is still floating in the cup after an hour has passed by.

There are a couple of different tests that can be performed that can inform you on whether or not you are at risk for Candida. However, you have to make sure that you follow the directions accurately.

If you see that there is a potential for a yeast infection in the test that you were just told about, you should contact your doctor right away so that he can help you decide what the next step is.

Your doctor will be able to perform tests as well that will show what type of yeast infection you have and how severe it is.

This may include blood tests. Once the doctor has determined the severity of the yeast infection, he will be able to put you on medication (candida treatment or candida cure) or a anti candida diet that will help you to recover.
