Fasting and enema
Fasting and Enema
Fasting… what is fasting? What does it involve and how does one benefit from fasting? These are only some
of the questions that one may think of when thinking of fasting.
One can describe fasting as a period in one’s life when you keep away from all food and drink other than what is
prescribed for the fast. When there is no food in the body, the body starts a self cleaning process
where except for vital tissue all other junk gets chucked out of the system.
Please don’t confuse this with starvation. Starvation happens when the body has to use its vital tissues to survive. When you are fasting, you
are usually consuming fluids in a systematic way and your body will use its stores of vitamins, proteins, minerals and fatty acids judiciously so
that no deficiency is felt.
Fasting and detoxification
Fasting ensures that your body detoxifies itself and you can help this process along by doing colon cleansing. Don’t ignore bowel problems because that is your inbuilt warning system telling you that something
somewhere is not the way it should be. Colon cleansing is the best way to rid the system of toxins. There are a lot of disorders totally
unrelated but caused due to an unclean colon. Depression, stress, arthritis , etc are just some of them. Our modern diet takes its toll on the
poor colon and it is not able to do its job properly.
Now you may well ask what the best way to cleanse the colon is. Well, there are a lot of remedies in the market today which are good but they
carry the side effects of either becoming habit forming and there is the chance that the problem may return once discontinued. Still, you would
do well to consult your doctor on this.
The best method to cleanse the colon is the use of the enema. (You can find out more about this in the Dr.
Natura program.) It is natural, safe and it has been useful in the treatment of problems like ulcerative colitis, hemorrhoids and
constipation too. An enema will detoxify the body effectively.
Some enema myths
There are of course plenty of myths regarding this form of colon cleansing. Here some are dispelled. A common myth is that enema is difficult
to do. Not true! People have used enemas successfully and found it to be really easy. Another myth is that it can be habit forming and it will
weaken the intestines. Again these have been proved untrue by the people using it. Taking an enema makes the intestines stronger and the
intestines become more efficient in doing their job. An enema will improve your blood circulation and it is like a reboot for your entire
digestive system where everything related to your digestion gets taken care of by a course of enema.
So work out what works best for you and give your system that extra care. Once you regularly rid your colon of all the years of muck lining
it, it’s like giving your system a brand new piece of digestive equipment, then servicing and cleaning it regularly to keep it that way. Isn’t it
worth it washing your system out and keeping disease at bay?
